The Redefined Student Ministry is a Bible-based, Spirit-filled youth group serving middle school and high school students in the northwest Chicagoland suburbs. We are a ministry of Church In The Word, and meet in the main building in Elgin, Illinois.

What does that mean?

We believe the Bible is God’s word, and we base our teaching and our lives on it’s principles. We believe that the Holy Spirit is who the Bible says He is — that He is the Spirit of God, and that He plays a role in the lives of believers today.

What do you do?

We open at 6:30 PM and hang out for a while. On the first Friday of each month, we have dinner at 6:30. On other Fridays, pizza shows up around 7.

Our service starts at 7:30 PM with a short teaching and small breakout groups, where we get a chance to explore scripture and discuss what it means to be a Christian teenager in our society. Then we respond to God together through music. Prayer is optional, and then our place is open for fresh popcorn/snacks, games, and hanging out.
